Pathos does exist in academic genres, just not the same we see in ads
- Highlighting real issues for example
- Highlighting urgency
- Highlighting injustices
Make sure you are analyzing a genre and not a medium of publication

Logos: Presenting data or empirical findings (e.g., statistics, experiments), Clear and structured reasoning, Use of valid methodology, Logical progression of ideas

Do multiple sources demonstrate similarities in how rhetorical appeals are utilized?
Do they differ in how rhetorical concepts are applied?
